February Character Theme: Perseverance

Week 1

THE GOAL: The goal of this week’s lesson is to teach students about doing their best.

WHAT WE’LL TEACH:   We will teach students that you should always have the attitude to be their best. It’s not enough to just be good enough but your should always try to do the best you can.

 

Week 2

THE GOAL: The goal of this week’s lesson is to teach students that it’s important to do “their” best.

WHAT WE’LL TEACH:   We will teach students that you should not compare yourself to anyone else. Everyone has different skills, abilities and opportunities. Just because you can’t do the same thing as someone else, doesn’t mean you can’t be successful. You may just need to reach your goal in a different way.

 

Week 3

THE GOAL: The goal of this week’s lesson is to teach some steps to develop the attitudes necessary for becoming their best.

WHAT WE’LL TEACH:   We will teach students not to confuse “activity” with accomplishment”. Just because you show up, doesn’t mean your put in your best effort. The only way to improve is to apply yourself and improve, even if it’s only a little bit.

 

Week 4

THE GOAL: The goal of this week’s lesson is to teach students the “law of reciprocation”.

WHAT WE’LL TEACH:   We will teach students that whatever they put into an activity is what they’re get back in return.
